Location
We never request your device location automatically. If you press “Use my location,” your browser asks for permission. The coordinates are sent to our first-party weather route to retrieve a forecast from Open-Meteo. After that choice, they may be reused to refresh the displayed forecast while the forecast page is active or when you return to it. They are not added to recent-city history.
Saved preferences
Your temperature unit, last selected city, and up to five recent cities are stored in your browser using localStorage. You can remove them at any time by clearing site data for brandcove.xyz. If browser storage is unavailable, you can still use the forecast; your preferences will not be saved between visits. When you open this policy from home, the page address and scroll position stay in this tab’s navigation history so “Back to home” can return you to where you left off.
Weather providers
City searches and forecast coordinates are sent through BrandCove Weather’s server routes to Open-Meteo. Successful weather responses may be held temporarily at Vercel’s edge for up to 30 seconds to improve global response times. Your browser is instructed not to store weather responses. Open-Meteo may process request metadata under its own privacy practices. We do not send names, email addresses, or account identifiers because the app does not collect them.
Measurement
We retain Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to understand aggregate visits and performance. They do not create a BrandCove account or receive your saved city history from localStorage.
